Locality:Tri-State Lead-Zinc Mining District, Treece, Cherokee County, Kansas
Description:Lustrous transparent red-brown sphalerite crystals to 25 mm on a double-sided plate of pinkish saddle-shaped dolomite crystals to 5 mm. The large sphalerite crystals have epitactic overgrowth of yellow metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 1 mm.
