Locality:Lime Crest Quarry (Limecrest), Sussex Mills, 4.5 km northwest of Sparta, Sussex County, New Jersey
Description:Translucent Spinel-law twinned octahedral {111} gray-brown spinel crystals to 6 mm in white calcite. The calcite was dissolved to expose the spinel crystals. Spinel is a rare mineral at this locality and sought by collectors.
