Locality:Loanhead Quarry, near Beith, Strathclyde, Scotland
Description:Large (and heavy) specimen of botryoidal translucent yellow-green prehnite crystals lining cavities in gray amygdulitic basalt. The surfaces of the prehnite clusters show distinct lustrous termination faces. The prehnite has radiating internal structure.
