Locality:Old Mine Plaza construction site, Mine Hill, Trumbull, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Description:Lustrous red-brown transparent dodecahedral grossular garnet crystals to 4 mm with lustrous prismatic transparent green diopside crystals in skarn matrix. The cavity was filled with calcite, which was mostly dissolved to expose the crystals.
