Mineral:Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite with Tenorite
Locality:Morenci Mine, Clifton District, Greenlee County, Arizona
Description:Shallow cavity lined with translucent green malachite pseudomorphs after bladed azurite crystals to 1 mm with botryoidal black tenorite. The azurite crystals formed first, then altered atom by atom to malachite, keeping the original form of the azurite.
