Description: | Superb specimen of two hexagonal transparent-to-translucent emerald crystals, the green gem variety of the mineral species beryl, to 18 mm with pinacoid terminations in gray-colorless calcite crystals to 15 mm with custom-made black base by Alec Madoff. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection; acquired from L. Himes in 1998 |
