Mineral:Calcite with Marcasite inclusions
Locality:Linwood Mine, Scott County, Iowa
Description:Lustrous transparent colorless calcite crystals with internal phantom zones of metallic marcasite microcrystals. The calcite crystals are hexagonal form with complex terminations and the surfaces were cleaned in weak HCL to remove surface stains. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #639; originally acquired in 1999 from Mike Bergman
