|Corundum var. Pink Sapphire
|near Kolonne, Ratnapura District, 20 km NW of Embilipitiya, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka
|Pyramidal transparent pink sapphire crystal with one terminated end. The color is not deep enough to be considered a true ruby corundum, and should be properly labeled a pink sapphire (though some unscrupulous dealers ignore the distinction).
