Locality:Crestmore Quarry, 572' Level, Riverside County, California
Description:Large translucent brown grossular garnet crystals to 30 mm with translucent green prismatic diopside crystals to 4 mm from the contact zone at the quarry. The two largest grossular crystals each have a bruised corner. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #360, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co.
