Mineral:Covellite on Quartz and Pyrite
Locality:Summitville District, Rio Grande County, Colorado
Description:Rich specimen of platy blue-black covellite crystals to 8 mm on yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 1 mm and colorless quartz crystals to 2 mm. The covellite crystals have iridescent luster that flashes reflections of purple to blue.
