Mineral:Calcite on Pyrite with Scheelite
Locality:Banská Stiavnica (formerly Selmecbanya), Slovenske Rudohorie Mountains, Banská Bystrica Region, Slovak Republic (Slovakia)
Description:Lustrous white calcite crystals to 1 mm in an elongated formation 22 mm high on weathered metallic pyrite. Microcrystals of an unidentified gray-metallic mineral coats areas of the calcite. A colorless scheelite crystal 4 mm across is on the bottom. Ex. Albert J. Beres collection #1353; acquired from Benke J. Tamás, collected in 1976
