Description: | Large plate of lustrous rhombohedral calcite crystals colored chocolate-brown by hematite inclusions. The calcite crystals have select faces overgrown with second generation of calcite microcrystals. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #653; originally acquired in 1993 |
