Description:Glassy Herkimer Diamond, the doubly-terminated variety of quartz from the region around Herkimer, New York. The Herkimer Diamond is internally transparent and complete on all faces except on the bottom where it contacted matrix. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #685, originally acquired in September 1994
