Description: | Translucent red-to-white banded carnelian variety of chalcedony quartz with one face polished to highlight the color and impressions from quartz crystals on outer faces. The chalcedony formed in cavities in basalt that weathered away. Ex. John Geiges collection #704. Repaired |
