Locality:Montreal Mine, Gogebic Iron Range, Iron County, Wisconsin
Description:Pristine specimen of pink-to-white manganese-rich calcite in hemispherical aggregates to 14 mm diameter over black psilomelane. The surfaces of the calcite have silky luster due to many microscopic crystal faces. Mined ca. 1950-60; ex. E. Jones; ex. R. Lillie
