Locality: | Houdaille Quarry (Consolidated Quarry), Little Falls Twp., north of Montclair State University, Essex County, New Jersey |
Description: | Complex formation of green chrysocolla coating translucent quartz pseudomorphs after anhydrite crystals to 40 mm long. The anhydrite formed first then was surrounded by quartz. When the anhydrite dissolved it left molds, then was coated with chrysocolla. Ex. John Geiges collection #715, originally acuired in 2001 from B. Butkowski |
