Locality:Crestmore Quarry, 572' Level, Riverside County, California
Description:Large specimen of lustrous translucent brown grossular garnet crystals to 23 mm with translucent green epidote crystals to 4 mm and blocky white calcite from the skarn border zone at the quarry. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #360c, employed at Crestmore 1951-1969, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co.
