Locality:Pipeline excavation, south of Diamond Lake, Glastonbury, Hartford County, Connecticut
Description:Many elongated staurolite crystals to 30 mm long in silvery mica schist with small red almandine garnet crystals to 2 mm. The schist weathered leaving the harder staurolite and almandine exposed in high relief. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection; personally collected in 1994
