Mineral:Lazurite var. Lapis Lazuli with Pyrite and Diopside
Locality:St. Joe Mine, Edwards, St. Lawrence County, New York
Description:Crystallized mass of blue lazurite intermixed with yellow-metallic pyrite and colorless diopside. The diopside fluoresces blue under shortwave UV illumination and yellow-orange under longwave UV illumination. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection; supervised opening mine #4 for St. Joe Minerals
