Locality:Red Bird Mine, Antelope Springs District, 24 km east of Lovelock, Pershing County, Nevada
Description:Lustrous translucent blood-red cinnabar crystals with quartz microcrystals on the faces. The cinnabar crystals are elongated rhombohedral form with smooth faces and are interpenetrant-twinned (two crystals with common C-axes, rotated 180° ).
