Locality:Red Bird Mine, Antelope Springs District, 24 km east of Lovelock, Pershing County, Nevada
Description:Two groups of large lustrous translucent red twinned cinnabar crystals on matrix with colorless calcite. The cinnabar crystals are interpenetrant-twinned (two crystals with common C-axes, rotated 180° to each other). Note the post-crystallization crack.
Overall Size:6x3x3 cm
Crystals:7-9 mm
