Locality:Amelia Courthouse, Amelia County, Virginia
Description:Partial crystal of transparent deep-purple amethyst quartz with four crystal faces. The amethyst is gem grade (deep color, internally flawless) and could produce a 12x9 mm oval gemstone. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #140d; originally acquired in 1940 from Mr. Morefield
