Locality:Crabtree Mine, Spruce Pine District, Mitchell County, North Carolina
Description:Many translucent green emerald crystals (the green gem variety of the mineral beryl) embedded in quartz with black schorl tourmaline crystals. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection #188, acquired in 1940 from Morrell G. Biernbaum (1895-ca.1940) (changed name in later years to Baldwin)
