Description:Several flattened red-brown almandine garnet crystals in pink albite-microcline feldspar. The flattened shape is due to the almandine crystals forming at the border between the feldspar and muscovite mica. A rare urban mineral specimen. Collected in 1994 by John Betts, author of the Minerals of New York City in Rocks and Minerals, vol. 84 #3
