Locality:Cement plant northeast of Benine, Nigeria
Description:Crystallized mass of translucent colorless calcite limestone, the raw material used to make cement. Nalle's long experience in the cement industry caused him to save this specimen because it resembles the Crestmore calcite. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection, employed at Crestmore 1951-1963, rising to managing director of Riverside Cement Co.
