Locality:Balmat, St. Lawrence County, New York
Description:Translucent red-orange realgar microcrystals with yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 1 mm in transparent gray calcite. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, and only a few complete crystals are present. Ex. Peter B. Nalle (1923-2010) collection, employed at St. Joe Mineral Corp. 1969-1978 during opening of Mine No. 4 at Balmat
