Locality:Twin Peaks, Millard County, Utah
Description:Sharp, well-formed hematite pseudomorphs after octahedral magnetite crystals. These pseudomorphs were formerly known as a separate mineral species: martite. But it is now understood that this is an atom by atom replacement of hematite for magnetite.
Overall Size:6x5x4 cm
Crystals:2-22 mm
