Description:Elongated andalusite crystal exhibiting the cruciform twinning, known as Chiastolite because it resembles a cross, in dark schist. The end surfaces of the chiastolite crystal was sawn flat and lacquered to highlight the cruciform zones. Ex. Tim Swan collection at River Valley Mineral Museum (Rumford, Maine) #378
