Mineral:Harmotome on Calcite
Locality:Whitesmith Mine, near Strontian, Loch Sunart, Highland (formerly Argyll), Scotland
Description:Lustrous translucent white harmotome crystals to 6.5 mm partially coating transparent etched yellow-brown rhombohedral calcite crystals to 20 mm. The harmotome crystals all exhibit Morvenite Law twinning. The calcite matrix fluoresces under UV. Collected 17 September 1992 by George W. Fletcher
