Mineral:Corundum in Biotite schist
Locality:Sagstuen, Farsjo, Nes, Romerike, Akershus Fylke, Norway
Description:Three tabular hexagonal corundum crystals exposed in one face of schist. The corundum crystals are translucent pink-brown with lighter-colored translucent yellow outer rims. One crystal is incomplete on the outer edge where it was removed from matrix.
Overall Size:11x7x3 cm
Crystals:12-24 mm
