Mineral:Sphalerite on Quartz with Dolomite
Locality:Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee
Description:Large plate of h lustrous translucent red-brown sphalerite crystals up to 30 mm on limestone coated with gray quartz crystals up to 1 mm with scattered translucent colorless dolomite crystals to 2 mm. The lustrous complex crystals are very showy.
