Locality: | Tourmaline Prospect 100 m. west of Biermann Quarry, Bethel, Fairfield County, Connecticut |
Description: | Large black dravite tourmaline crystal with shallow pyramidal termination. The tourmaline was tested and confirmed as dravite tourmaline. Note the dravite crystal is repeatedly fractured internally due to post-crystallization deformation. Collected in 1993 |
