Locality:Tourmaline Prospect 100 m. west of Biermann Quarry, Bethel, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Description:Large black tourmaline crystal which was repeatedly fractured internally due to post-crystallization deformation with infill of muscovite mica between the tourmaline segments. The fracturing makes collecting complete crystals rare. Collected in 1993. Repaired
