Mineral:Calcite with Marcasite inclusions on Dolomite
Locality:Eastern Rock Products Quarry (Benchmark Quarry), St. Johnsville, Montgomery County, New York
Description:Translucent yellow calcite crystals to 40 mm with filiform marcasite inclusions to 4 mm on pinkish dolomite crystals to 3 mm. The calcite crystals were cleaned with weak acid resulting in lustrous surfaces with a mottled texture. Collected ca. 1992
