Description:Rare specimen from a black smoker (underwater hydrothermal chimneys rich in sulfides) from almost 2 miles beneath the surface. A compact mass of yellow metallic pyrite crystals with striated cubic pyrite crystals to 0.4 mm visible under magnification.
