Mineral:Fluorite with Galena
Locality:Blackdene Mine, Ireshopeburn, Weardale, County Durham, England
Description:Large transparent purple cubic fluorite crystals to 40 mm with gray-metallic galena crystals embedded in the rear surfaces. Many of the smaller fluorite crystals are interpenetrant twins. The fluorite fluoresces bright violet under SW UV illumination.
