Mineral:Diamond (1.44 carat pale-gray macle, twinned crystal)
Locality:Northern Cape Province, South Africa
Description:Triangular natural diamond crystal with striated crystal faces, pale gray color, and a few scattered dark inclusions near one edge. The diamond is twinned on the {111} plane following the Spinel Law of twinning and is known in the trade as a macle.
