Locality:Hobbs Brook, east slope of Blue Mountain, Albany, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Uncommonly large lustrous translucent smoky quartz crystal from an obscure locality. The outer 4-5 mm thick layer of the crystal is a milky gray color and the core of the crystal is dark smoky color. The smoky quartz crystal is complete all around. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 70s. Found in the float below the famous Moose Pocket discovered by Peter Samuelson in 1988.
