Description:Terminated watermelon tourmaline, the variety of the mineral species elbaite named for the pink rubellite core surrounded by an outer green zone that resembles a watermelon from the famous tourmaline pocket first discovered in 1972. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #404.
