Locality:Maroon Bells, Elk Mountains, southwest of Aspen, Pitkin County and Gunnison County, Colorado
Description:Two interpenetrant microcline crystals that are twinned following the Carlsbad Law of feldspar twinning where the microcline crystals share a common plane of atoms running along the C-axis. These crystals were phenocrysts that weathered out of granite. Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 1970s by his son.
