Locality:Central Highland Belt, near Ratnapura, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon)
Description:Di-pyramidal hexagonal transparent deep-blue sapphire crystal, the gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with stepped striations on the crystal faces and slightly dull luster. The crystal edges show only slight alluvial wear.
