Mineral:Fluorite with Bitumen coating
Locality:Annabel Lee Mine, Harris Creek District, Hardin County, Illinois
Description:Dark translucent blue fluorite with 6 mm dark-purple outer zone and black bitumen (naturally occurring petroleum) on the surfaces making the cluster nearly opaque. The bitumen can be removed by soaking in petroleum solvents.
Overall Size:5.5x5.5x4.5 cm
