Mineral:Calcite with Quartz overgrowth
Locality:Charcas District, San Luis Potosi, Mexico
Description:A large thin 16-sided colorless calcite crystal 13 cm across with overgrowth of lustrous transparent quartz crystals to 4 mm thick all sides. The quartz crystals have yellow internal phantoms in the terminations that give the greenish-yellow color. Ex. Betts #19864 ca. 1998
