Locality:Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Many transparent medium-smoky quartz crystals to 28 mm on tan-brown microcline. The smoky quartz crystals are all twinned following the Dauphine Law of quartz twinning, as indicated by S-faces face {2111} on adjacent comers. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s.
