Description: | Lustrous botryoidal black goethite crystals to 1 mm forming hollow pseudomorphs after slender gypsum crystals. The gypsum crystallized first, was overgrown with goethite, then the gypsum dissolved leaving hollow epimorphs. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection #209 |
