Locality:Eastgate Quarry, Weardale, County Durham, England
Description:Two interpenetrant-twinned transparent green cubic fluorite crystals with microscopic layered growth patterns on some faces. Indoors the fluorite crystals appear green, but appear purple in sunlight because they fluoresce violet under UV illumination. Ex. Robert P. Bates (1926-2008) collection #792
