Description: | Lustrous yellow-metallic cubic pyrite crystals to 6.5 mm (large for the species!) on lustrous transparent gray quartz crystals to 4 mm lining the inner walls of a cavity in gray basalt. Pyrite, a sulfide mineral, is uncommon in NJ zeolite cavities. Ex. J. Geiges collection #378 |
