Locality:Hurricane Mountain, east of Intervale, Carroll County, New Hampshire
Description:Lustrous black prismatic arfvedsonite crystal with flat chisel-shaped termination that has a fibrous yellow alteration mineral. Terminated arfvedsonite crystals are rare from Hurricane Mountain where they are commonly embedded in solid microcline. Ex. Thomas A. Penney (1934-2019) collection, collected in the 1960s-70s.
