Description: | Crystallized mass of transparent green peridot, the green gem variety of the mineral species forsterite, on black spinel-chromite matrix. The peridot at this locality occurs in these highly fractured masses that are mined for the occasional gem nodule. Ex. Paul Edwards collection #880 |
