Locality:Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts
Description:Large elongated andalusite crystal exhibiting the cruciform twinning. Usually andalusite crystals are sawn into many slices — this is complete. One end was sawn flat and lacquered to highlight the cruciform twinning, commonly known as Chiastolite.
